i wanted this to be the first post on my brand new blog.

but the anticipation is killing me to share these pictures with you.

i flew to st louis a few weeks ago to cuddle with this babe and spend time with family.

i think the pictures can speak for themselves the beauty and curiosity in this wee baby.

he’s my hero and loves me deeper then i should ever be loved.

he makes sure that i know i am beautiful whenever he watches me leave the house. he makes me laugh really hard. he gives some of the best hugs. his advice is something that i cherish and respect. and to hear him say he’s proud of me means more then i could ever express.

and regardless of how old i get. i’ll always be his little girl.

what up blog world!!!!!

its been a while. and i’ll be honest. its been good. i needed some time away. i needed some time to figure out what to write. i’ve had a few photo sessions but i can’t share them just yet… so keep waiting! i will share some rando pics today from days that i just needed to shoot for myself.

i didnt realize how important that was until i came into this rut of shooting and rut of creativity and really bringing myself back to who i am and what i want my pictures to reflect. so as i start the craziest 2 months of my life its me shooting my heart out and bringin it back to the whole reason why i love photography so much.

i’ve been working on my new blog still. and i’ll be honest. i thought i was REAAAL techy until i started this junk. holy smokes i was knocked off my high horse really quick. if we are being real here, which thats what i like, being real…. im stupid when it comes to ftp, html, hosting. la la la la la. so when i make up my mind on what i want to put on display on my blog and i fall in love with design ill share it with the world. but until then…. we will stick with the boring lame blog i have right now

off to nashville for the weekend to see my sweet friend say “i do” to his beautiful fiance and then off to st louis next weekend to spend some much needed time with babies and family. can’t even wait to share pictures from these next two weekends.

lauren said 2007 was going to be the year that she was going to be single. but little did she know that there were other plans in her future. 2007 was the year that lauren met michael. through mutual friends michael became smitten for her. she resisted and resisted until finally after her friends said to just give him a chance, lauren did. she told me that she knew there was something special about him because he treated her better then any guy has ever treated her.

its completely evident to me spending an afternoon with them that they love each other. they make each other smile and laugh and i can’t wait until their wedding in july.

lauren and michael thank you for trusting me when i told you that i found a place on the side of the road off some random exit. i know you werent too wooed over when we got out of the car but i hope in the end you guys had fun and love these!

bring on july 31st!!

the song american honey, its a feel good song for me. it soothes my soul..

there’s something about these girls that make you feel so good. no matter who you are they make you feel welcomed and loved. they love you like they’ve known you your whole life. and so much of my heart wishes i’ve known them my whole life. meet sarah, caroline, holly, and kara. when i walked into their apartment i could feel the love. they love each other SO well its unreal. they make each other laugh SO hard its unreal.

i wouldnt have traded this morning for anything in the world. i secretly hoped it never would end. because these girls are this much fun.

i can’t wait until the fall to hang out with them again.

girls thanks for letting me follow you. thank for you reminding me how sweet and thankful i am to have girlfriends that love me so well. you girls are blessed and you dont take it for granted. what a sweet thing to watch.

i met sweet lacey out at clemson. she JUST graduated on friday and i couldnt be more excited for her.

she is SO sweet, so loving and so fun to be around.

lacey thanks for letting me document your last few days at clemson with you.

you made it more clear to me how much i love you and your mom and sister spending time with you. you are beautiful and fun and i can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you.

its the kind of love that when you watch the whole day unfold thru the lens you cant help but smile. its the kind of love that not matter what, you are giddy for the bride and groom and for them to say i do. its the kind of love that you know its right and real and true. on april 10, i had the great chance to second shoot for my friend jamie clayton who posted some awesome awesome pictures. allison and steven were two of the most welcoming people ever. it was such a joy and blessing to share in their special day with them. we honestly couldnt have asked for a better day. sunshine, 70+ degrees, two people SO smitten for each other surrounded by loving friends and family. i LOVE second shooting with other photographers. i love that i get to be the “side” version of everything unfolding through out the day.

caroline, allisons matron of honor took her bridal portraits and they are ballllllllin. so awesome you have to go see them here..

i promise when you see allison’s joy and excitement you wont be able to help but smile. and to see steven’s calming joyfulness through out the day was so fun and cool. here are some of the shots i grabbed! congrats allison and steven, hope you enjoyed your extra long honeymoon!

i mean why wouldnt you eat sunflower seeds to help the time pass?? hilarious!

allison by far had the best entrance to any wedding i have ever been too. i was crying. goosebumps all over and had a huge grin on my face. best song, best reaction, best everything.
